HNB PLC, is pleased to announce that several of its valued SME clients were recognised at the CMA Sri Lanka MSME Business Excellence Awards 2025, with Ceilan Coir Products Exports (Pvt) Ltd receiving the overall Gold Award for Best SME Entrepreneur.

The event, held on 27 June 2025 at BMICH, was organised by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) to commemorate United Nations MSME Day. The awards recognised outstanding performance among Sri Lankan MSMEs and highlighted the contribution of financial institutions in enabling their growth. In addition to Ceilan Coir Products, HNB clients Anushka Fibre Industries and Hilmaz Lanka (Pvt) Ltd were also recognised under the Ten Best Awards category.

Founded in 2003, Ceilan Coir Products has established itself as a leading exporter of high-quality coconut fibre substrates and eco-friendly coco peat-based products under the Greenpeat Coco brand. With a presence in over 43 international markets, the company’s success has been driven by a commitment to product innovation, quality, and sustainability. The business operates its own plantations and manufacturing facilities, supplying clients across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and the Americas.
