Project AMAL picks Sri Lankan Trainer Prassanna Pathmanathan

Prassanna Pathmanathan today is a household name when it comes to training and mentoring on career and personal development. Untitled-1Out of 12,000 participants he has trained this past year, many describe coaching sessions as career changing and empowering. 

Prassanna is the Founding Director and Lead Trainer of Ultimma Training has offered training for 100 Sri Lankan companies and has personally trained over 40 nationalities. He was recently selected as the only Sri Lankan trainer by AIESEC Alexandria in Egypt, as the only Sri Lankan to work on the AMAL, a project which aims to develop entrepreneurship, motivation and personal development. 

“Each training sessions is an inspiring experience as a coach,” Prassanna said, speaking of the training sessions he conducted for AMAL. “It is immensely satisfying to watch young individuals not just feel better about them, but develop essential skills that will help them face challenges and pursue goals with higher self esteem.” 

Prassanna was among 11 other participants who had gathered in Alexandria, Egypt to deliver a series of sessions on Career Development and entrepreneurship. During the six week project he also received rave reviews for instilling confidence, a sense of ambition and for imparting essential work skills. 

Bassam Khalil, a student of computer and systems engineering at the Alexandria University, described the training sessions as an eye-opener. “The session was very informative, useful and inspiring,” he said. “I wish we had the opportunity to attend sessions such as these every day. It has helped us understand ourselves better and be more prepared to take on risks career wise.” 

Meanwhile Yousseff Mohamad Awad, a mechanical engineer at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, said that he wished sessions such as these were open to more students in Egypt. “They have a big impact on us and the way we think.” 

Prassanna is a Marketing and Communication Consultant and PR Specialist, a corporate trainer and a fashion consultant. Prassanna is an IT/Business graduate and a gold medalist from University of Westminster UK and a MBA holder from University of Wales (UK). He’s also a Chartered Marketer (UK), Practicing Marketer (SL) and Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) and an Organizational Psychologist. 

He is also the Founding Director and Lead Trainer at Ultimma Training, which has conducted training events for over 100 companies in Sri Lanka and served over 12,000 participants in soft skills development training.
