Profit growth consolidates

NDB Stockbrokers in an earnings update released last week said total profits of the sample set of 90 companies considered to represent the market, increased by 20% year on year (this includes 28 companies reporting profits for the year ended 31 December while the others reporting profits for nine months) with profit levels increasing to Rs. 116.9 billion from Rs. 97.1 billion.
