Sri Lanka faces significant challenges in fostering renewable energy despite setting itself an ambitious target to produce 20% of renewable energy by 2020. Regulatory drawbacks, policy inconsistencies and investment blocks were all discussed at the Renewable Energy Forum organised by the Colombo University MBA Alumni Association on Tuesday (25).
