CINEC to conduct ‘Seminar & Open Day 2015’

With the aim of providing an eye-opener for students with regard to world-class recognised higher education, CINEC will be organising ‘Seminar & Open Day 2015’ on 19 September at its premises in Malabe.

The event held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will be attended by both parents and students who have completed their formal school education, will draw key professionals and practitioners from well reputed organisations and provide various insights and information towards the present and future industrial opportunities in the country along with salary scales, career paths, as well as international job prospects. 

Professors and lecturers from state universities across the island will also be participating, representing their relevant subject curriculums, including consultants to discuss on PR/visa and migration possibilities through programmes offer at CINEC.

As higher education is a priority for every individual today to survive and strive in their life, banks and other financial institutions will also be present to discuss on their special educational loan schemes that comes with longer repayment periods, hassle free documentation, concessionary interest rates and much more.

CINEC offers higher educational programs from Certificate Level to PhDs in the fields of  General Engineering (Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering) Maritime, Management, Aviation, Information and Technology, Hospitality and English in affiliation with well reputed universities from UK, Australia and China, and is recognised by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.  

CINEC is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops and classroom facilities to groom and prepare every student for the ever-changing corporate world. CINEC has recognised the importance and value of both academic curriculum and co-curricular activities in developing the range of skills and attributes that are important to our students. At CINEC we offer many recreation activities such as cricket, swimming, rugby, basketball, table tennis and volleyball where students can develop their athletic abilities. Further, scholarship examination is provided for those registering for their General Engineering as well as Management degree programs on or before 19 September.

Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College (CINEC) established in 1990 is Sri Lanka’s largest maritime education and training facility. Over 19,000 students have followed CINEC programs to date and new recruits annually follow over 185 educational and training programs. The Maritime Campus is accredited by many international quality management systems and continues to uplift standards by investing heavily in competitive infrastructure, facilities, equipment and human resources to deliver and cater to the increasing number of students.
