Senior delegation from Maldives State Shipping visits Colombo Dockyard strengthening the business ties

Maldives State Shipping (MSS) Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Shareef of the paid a curtesy call on Colombo Dockyard PLC Managing Director /CEO Thimira S. Godakumbura, on 10 January 2024. The high-level MSS delegation headed by Ahmed Shareef comprised of Deputy Managing Director Capt. Ahmed Zubair, Chief Operating Officer Capt. Ibrahim Rafeeu, Senior Commercial Manager Thaha Mohamed, and Aminath Shimna. 

Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) has been providing ship repair and ship building facilities to the Republic of Maldives for over four decades. Colombo Dockyard operates in collaboration with Onomichi Dockyard Co. Ltd., Japan. CDPLC have been a close business partner of MSS providing dry-docking and ship repair services to the MSS fleet since its inception.  The discussions between MSS and CDPLC team covered many aspects strengthening the business partnership between the two corporates as well as Sri Lanka and Maldives. 

The Colombo Dockyard team comprised of MD/CEO Thimira S. Godakumbura, Ship Repair Business General Manager S.G. Senadheera, Asst. General Manager Darshana Chandrasekera, and Ship Repair Marketing Assistant Business Manager Amila Rukshan.
