International Logistics and Movers Ltd. and ILM Shipping Services Ltd. have made a strategic leap in Sri Lanka’s logistics sector by investing in 20 brand new prime movers to meet the increasing demand for efficient terminal services at the Ports of Colombo and Hambantota.

ILM Holdings Group CEO Hadley Rodrigo shared his pride in this milestone achievement, describing it as a “privilege” to be working with such key partners as Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) and Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG).

“We are fully dedicated to meeting the terminal’s needs, and we will work tirelessly to ensure the success of this collaboration,” Rodrigo stated. “Beyond just providing services, we are partners in growth,” he emphasised, highlighting the mutual trust and synergy that make these partnerships so powerful.

ILM Shipping Services CEO Tressel Silva said that the opportunity to deploy its fleet for ITV operations at Hambantota is an exciting challenge. He emphasised that ILM Shipping is poised to scale up operations as the volume of container vessels calling at Hambantota increases.

With this new deployment, ILM is not just transforming logistics operations but also creating new job opportunities in both Colombo and Hambantota. “By expanding our operations in Sri Lanka, we’re not just adding more vehicles to the fleet – we are adding value to every link in the logistics chain,” he added.
