High profile delegation from Port of Colombo visits Bangladesh

A high profile delegation from the Port of Colombo led by Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman Keith D. Bernard visited Bangladesh to further discuss requirements of shippers and service providers. 

SLPA Managing Director Upul Jayatissa, Director (Operations) Lal Weerasinghe, Acting Director (Marketing and Media) Sarath Dayananda, South Asia Gateway Terminals Ltd. (SAGT) CEO Romesh David, Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) CEO Jack Huang and Senior General Manager (Commercial and Marketing) Catriona Jayasundera were also included in the delegation.

Prior to the visit a meeting was held recently between SLPA Chairman and Bangladesh High Commissioner Tareq Md Ariful Islam in Colombo. 

During the visit, the Lankan delegation also held discussions with trade and industry stakeholders with the aim of enhancing connectivity between Chittagong and Colombo and also developing the networks with trade and industry stakeholders in Bangladesh to attract more volumes at the Port of Colombo.
