Seminar on ‘Actuary’s Role in Enterprise Risk Management’

The Actuarial Association of Sri Lanka (AASL) will be organising a one day seminar on ‘The Actuary’s Role in Enterprise Risk Management’ on 26 October 2010 at Eagle Room, Waters Edge, Battaramulla.

The main objective of the seminar will be to introduce the actuarial qualification of Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) to the financial industry in Sri Lanka.  This seminar will cover the techniques used in ERM around the world and how it will affect the Insurance Industry in Sri Lanka, through the new regulatory requirements to be introduced in the country. It will be an ideal forum to communicate the necessary criteria for developing an ERM practice in an organisation, as well as to address the importance the role of chief risk officer.

This seminar is a must for all risk professionals, actuarial professionals and senior management of financial institutions in the country.

Eminent actuaries from around the globe will be speaking at this event covering many diverse and timely topics.
