Metropolitan’s ‘m’ Centre online shopping portal launched

The newest online shopping portal in Sri Lanka, www.mcentre.lk, was launched recently by Metropolitan’s retail chain store ‘m’ Centre. The portal offers a range of IT products from computers, scanners, printers, to gaming software.

The www.mcenter.lk site is the official e-commerce site for all Metropolitan IT products which will allow family and friends overseas to gift genuine and reliable IT products to their loved ones back home in Sri Lanka.

“What’s unique is that all of our online purchases come with the Metropolitan service guarantee and the manufacture warranty for the product,” said Uvindhu Goppallawa, Senior Manager at Metropolitan Computers Pvt. Ltd.

The ‘m’ Centre offers a range of brands from Acer, Canon, Sonic Gear, Kingston, HP and Lenovo, among others.

“The ‘m’ Centre believes in making technology accessible and in convenience of service, hence the launch of the website that makes our products more convenient to purchase and accessible,” said Niranjan de Silva, CEO of Metropolitan Computers Pvt. Ltd.

This e-portal has tied up with Sampath Bank to ensure secure online payments where customers have the option of purchasing through credit cards used worldwide.

“Customers can also get the latest product information and prices through the website, create their own ‘wish list’ gift registry, send a request for products of their preference, view products reviews, receive news updates by subscribing to receive the latest offers among other fantastic features,” said Chaminda Rajapakse, Manager of the ‘m’ Center retail chain.

The ‘m’ Center, which is also available on Facebook, provides customers the opportunity to discuss and share product reviews, ideas for improvement meet with other online customers.

It is the retail chain of Metropolitan and has a strategic branch network in Colpetty, Nawala, Battaramulla and Wattala. The ‘m’ Centre is also planning to set up another three outlets in main cities around Colombo to ensure greater access and convenience to consumers.
