Intl. Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management DG visits Sri Lanka

Charles Holden, the Director General of the International Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management (IFPSM), the World Body of 49 National Associations in the profession of purchasing and supply,

based in the United Kingdom visited Sri Lanka recently on the invitation of the Institute of Supply & Materials Management (ISMM), Sri Lanka.

Holden addressed the members of the ISMM last Friday, 21 January, 2011 at the OPA Auditorium on the “Professionalism in Purchasing & Supply Management”.

At the conclusion of the lecture, Holden made a special presentation on behalf of the IFPSM to Gerry Hidelarachi, a Past President of ISMM and Senior Delegate of ISMM and a former Vice President of IFPSM for the Asia Pacific region, in recognition of the long service rendered to the purchasing and supply management development in Sri Lanka. Hidelarachi is also a Past President of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka, where ISMM is a long standing member. Holden also conducted a Master Class, a workshop in “Strategic  Planning for ISMM” at the ISMM Auditorium over the week end for the benefit of the members of the Council of Management, Members and Staff of ISMM.
