Hong Kong Airlines sets its sights on sunny Singapore

Hong Kong Airlines (HX) has announced its first passenger route to Singapore (Changi International Airport) as part of its ongoing expansion efforts throughout Asia.

The new daily service will start on 15 January, 2011, and will be served by brand new Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Together in partnership with Abacus International — Asia’s leading provider of travel solutions and services — the carrier is excited about the launch. Since June this year, the Singapore route will mark the fourth route opened across the region, including Tokyo, Moscow and Shanghai.

Hong Kong Airlines, which was established in 2006, has been growing aggressively over the last few months. As an official member of IATA, they operate scheduled flights to eight cities in China and six flights to other parts of Asia and Europe, including Indonesia (Denpasar), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok), Vietnam (Hanoi), and Russia (Moscow).
