Sunse Japan Ltd., a leading construction company joins with State Building Material Corporation to commence the construction work of Tourist Police Stations across the island. This project initiated with the financial contribution of

Proposed Tourist Police Station using modern Japanese technology and a concept at Mount Lavinia seashore

Tourism Development Authority for the Sri Lanka Tourist Police which labor to safeguard the local and foreign tourists. By using modern Japanese technology and a concept, the construction will be done in very attractive manner.

Laying foundation stone for a Tourist police station at the Mount Lavinia seashore as the first phase was held recently in a ceremonial manner. 

Deputy Inspector General of Police Mahesh Senaratne, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Deputy General Manager Upali Abeyratne, State Building Material Corporation General Manager Dilum Ratnayake, Sunse Japan Managing Director Chathuranga Withanage and invitees were present at the event. 

The special feature of this project is that modern Japanese technology is used in the construction work and specially imported building materials from Japan (for roof, walls, floor, doors, ceiling and tiles) shall be used as well. Japan Gedara and Sunse Japan are supplying all building materials. Both of these companies have been incorporated with the collaboration of Japanese and Sri Lankan professionals.  

“We expect to finish construction work of this office premises within one and half month. By using high standard modern Japanese technology and materials, the construction will be done in a very attractive manner. Our building materials which are imported only from Japan are environment friendly and resistant to any environmental condition. Similarly it is durable for long period of time.  This Japanese construction technology introduced by our company is now expanded extensively in Sri Lanka. We have been receiving lot of orders. We are very much happy,” said Sunse Japan Ltd. and Japan Gedara Ltd. Managing Director Chathuranga Withanage when he was speaking to the media at the inaugural construction ceremony.
