Strengthening its commitment to advancing academic and practical knowledge in Sri Lanka’s real estate sector, Access Real Estate has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Estate Management and Valuation, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
This strategic partnership aims to enhance the capabilities of undergraduate students by providing them with valuable opportunities to engage in industry-aligned initiatives, ensuring that they are well-prepared to contribute effectively to the profession.
Access Real Estate Chief Operating Officer Mangala Perera said: “We believe this partnership will expand industry knowledge and help produce graduates who are ready to seamlessly integrate into the real estate sector—benefiting both the industry and the organisations that recruit these young professionals.”
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of University of Sri Jayewardenepura Vice Chancellor Snr. Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce Dean Prof. Dushan Jayawickrama, Department of Estate Management and Valuation Head Prof. Prathap Kaluthanthri, Snr. Prof. Chair R.G. Ariyawansa, Snr. Prof. K.G.P.K. Weerakoon, Prof. N.C. Wickramaarachchi, and Department Lecturer Yasheema Kumuduni.
Representing Access Real Estate were Group Finance Director Prasanna Dissanayake, Chief Operating Officer Mangala Perera, Group Head of HR Shirantha Thanthrige, and Senior Manager – Valuations Sampath Rajapaksha.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Access Real Estate while also strengthening the Department of Estate Management and Valuation in its mission to nurture the next generation of real estate professionals, contributing to the sustainable development of Sri Lanka’s real estate industry through continued academic–industry engagement.
