The evening unfolded with a well-structured agenda that blended tradition with professional insight, reflecting the club’s commitment to both cultural preservation and leadership development.
A key highlight of the event was the insightful session by Northern Province Tourism Development Bureau Chairman Dr. J. His presentation emphasised the region’s untapped potential and the strategic direction needed to strengthen tourism as a driver of economic growth and upcoming opportunities in the tourism sector in the North.
Another major focal point was the discussion on the impact of NIS26, delivered by Sakti Agro President Raj Janan. His talk shed light on emerging policy implications and their significance for businesses and economic stakeholders, sparking meaningful conversations among attendees.
The event also featured an open discussion on the hospitality sector, a session on the role of banking in hospitality management by TMC Jaffna Treasurer S.P. Gokulashankar. These segments provided valuable insights for professionals across industries.
A special highlight of the evening was the presence of Shanthi Bhagirathan, who graced the occasion representing the Board of Management (BOM) of TMC. She delivered an inspirational keynote address, outlining the organisation’s future plans and strategic direction, inspiring members with a vision for growth, collaboration, and greater professional impact.
More than 30 participants from diverse professional backgrounds attended the event, including managers from banking, universities, corporate organisations, schools, and businesses ranging from micro to medium enterprises. The gathering also included lawyers, engineers, consultants, representatives from business chambers, and members of organisations such as Rotary. This diversity contributed to a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences.
In addition to the formal sessions, attendees enjoyed traditional foods and the games conducted by TMC Jaffna Executive Committee Member R.B. Prashanthan, fostering a spirit of togetherness and celebration. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by TMC Jaffna Secretary S. Sukirtharuban, followed by a networking dinner that allowed participants to strengthen professional connections in a relaxed setting.
The successful completion of the event reaffirmed TMC Jaffna’s role as a dynamic platform for leadership, collaboration, and cultural engagement in the Northern region.
