Speed Water opens Distribution Centre at Armour Street

Speed Water Systems (Pvt) Ltd., under the company’s inspiring slogan ‘To make purified water more affordable and available to all,’ established its Speed Water Distribution Centre at Armour Street, Colombo 12 recently. It is situated at No. 145/5, M.J.M. Laffiya Road, Armour Street.

Expressing his views on the opening of the latest Speed Water Distribution Centre, Speed Water Systems Chairman N. Delgoda said: The people of Armour Street Colombo 12 have always cherished their traditional values and for generations led a life influenced by rich customs and norms. They have engaged in conventional businesses and avenues of employment.”

“Armour Street is a heavily built-up town. Therefore, the land area is limited and this had led to congestion. In the market survey we conducted, it was found that there is a heavy demand for purified bottled water in this area. We identified the specific problem of the inadequacy in the supply of bottled water to the people of this important area situated a few kilometres away from the metropolis,” he added.

This meant that purified bottled water was not readily available to the residents at the required time and in the required quantities. This has caused immense inconvenience to consumers as well as traders in this area.

“At the new Speed Water Distribution Centre we have opened, purified bottled water in 500ml, 1,000ml, 1,500ml, five litre small bottles and 19 litre big bottles along with dispensers can be purchased in any quantity,” Delgoda said. Established in 2003, Speed Water Systems is a sister concern of Sritrims (Far East) Ltd., a Hong Kong-based manufacturer and supplier in the fashion industry, which has introduced innovative, state-of-the-art knowhow and technology and new marketing strategies to the Sri Lanka bottled water industry.
