Etisalat Lanka signs MoU with CEA to support nationwide e-waste management program

Etisalat Lanka together with the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) and several other Electronic and Information Technology organisations recently joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to launch a nationwide e-Waste management program.

As a responsible corporate citizen and by signing this MoU, Etisalat Lanka pledges to follow and apply e-waste management guidelines given by the CEA and of the National Co-operate e-waste management program, to educate its consumers on the harmful effects of e-waste and encourage the proper disposal of used mobile devices. Additionally, Etisalat will also work together with the CEA to carry out audits on the performance of the e-waste management program, to comply with the best practices.
