She will be talking on “Setting up an operation in motion”:

“More than two-thirds of new businesses fail to deliver a positive return to investors within the expected timeframe. This raises an important and an often a troubling question: why do so many promising ventures, filled with energy, creativity, and seemingly brilliant ideas, fall short of expectations?

The reality is that a business idea, no matter how exciting or original, must survive the harsh tests of the market. Competition is fierce, customer behaviour is unpredictable, and operational challenges are often underestimated. Many founders focus heavily on the vision while overlooking practical issues such as financial discipline, team capability, or scalability. Others misjudge the timing of their product or service, entering too early or too late.

The gap between inspiration and execution can be wide. What begins as a “beautiful idea” may crumble under the pressure of limited resources, insufficient planning, or an inability to adapt to shifting realities. For investors, this often translates into delayed returns or, in many cases, complete losses.

The disappointment is not in the lack of imagination or innovation—but in the fragile bridge between concept and sustainable delivery.”

This session promises an enriching evening of learning, inspiration, and professional networking.
