Members Speak Event TMC – Jaffna

The Management Club (TMC) Jaffna organised its inaugural Members Speak event under the theme, “Time Management – Myths and Mysteries”. The event was held at the conference room of J Hotels, Jaffna, on Monday, 28 August 2023.

The keynote speaker at the event was TMC Colombo Founder Chairman Jude M. Joseph and member of the Board of Management (BOM) of TMC, Sri Lanka. The management and entrepreneurial fraternity, mainly comprising the TMC Jaffna members participated at the event.

Delivering the presentation on Time Management, Joseph specifically defined the “Myths and Mistakes” on managing time. He explained that Time is a vast concept and cannot be managed. He said Time is an ever-moving dynamic phenomenon and well beyond the reach of any, but with the need to focus more on managing oneself and fit in their daily and monthly activities into a meaningful timeframe. 

The valuable part of the program was a practical hands-on training on how to manage oneself by breaking down one’s activities in a day and fit them into a meaningful framework of Time. This activity made the participants to strike a work-home balance and thereby reduce a significant amount of stress in carrying out their day to day activities. The program concluded with a Q & A session.
