‘CDP – Medical Clinic for Maithree Children Development Centre’ by The Management Club Colombo

The Management Club of Colombo (TMC Colombo) organised a Community Development Program (CDP) to conduct a medical clinic for children at Maithree Children Development Centre on 22 October 2022 at the Maithree

Children Development Centre, Gothamee Road, Colombo-8. 

TMC Colombo Project Director Dr. Nilmini Withana said TMC Colombo wanted to support the community for its development and as the first CDP project for the year 2022/2023, it is planned to conduct a medical clinic for children who have needs.

The Medical Clinic included regular medical check-up, free consultation, oral care, awareness of NCD eye check-up and also provided free first aid kit and medicine. The clinic is conducted by highly qualified doctors from Western Med clinic. After the medical clinic , refreshments  were arranged for children and staff by TMC Colombo, which was sponsored by Duneeshya Bogoda, who is the Secretary of TMC Colombo and owner of Dunee’s Kitchen. 

Dr. Nilmini Withana, who is the Director Medical Services at western Health Care Ltd. Mentioned: “Due to the financial crisis of the country, many people are suffering without basic healthcare facilities currently, as a social responsibility of citizen of this country/TMC member, I decided to support needy children according to my capacity together with TMC sponsor of the event is western Health Care/CK Foundation which is a charity foundation under Western Health Care Ltd.”
