Fulfilling a long felt need, two fully equipped computer labs were gifted to Awwenagar Tamil Vidyalayam and Morawewa Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya in the Eastern Province by the Sri Lanka Air Force at a function held recently.
This public service initiative was carried out under the social service projects of the SLAF by its Seva Vanitha Unit. The construction work on the buildings was carried out by SLAF personnel while monetary assistance was provided by the Commercial Bank under its CSR unit.
Equipment including five computers, two printers, chairs and tables were also proved for the computer labs.
The Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Neelika Abeywickrema, Air vice Marshal MLK Perera, senior Air Force officials, and a large number of people in the area were present at the occasion.
