Is capitalism the cause of the uprisings?

Tunis, Cairo, Tripoli, Athens and now London have all experienced recent uprisings. An underlying common thread that runs across all of these relates to the younger generation, who feel they have been economically deprived, while a smaller group of capitalists seem to have taken a lion share of the economic spoils.

Will conventional capitalism (as we know it today) help the world come out of this? Are we, in the business world too caught up in our P&Ls and balance sheets and forgetting the consequences of unfettered capitalism? Taking a U-turn to socialism may not be the solution either. Perhaps a new brand of economic governance? Call it People-ism!
