Masjid Al Aqsa during the last ten days of prayer last year and this year
Oil rich Arab Gulf countries are disappointed with United States for its failure to come to their rescues during the ongoing Iranian attacks on their countries following US-Israeli military strikes on Iran which began on 28 February 2026.
Autocratic and oppressive Arab dictators fear they could be Israel’s next target. The situation is such that a Saudi official told Al Jazeera that “America has abandoned us and focused its defence systems on protecting Israel leaving Gulf states that host its military bases at the mercy of Iranian missiles and drones”.
In the more than two and half years of Israeli genocide of Gaza and the indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinians the Arab dictators sided with Israel and abandoned the Palestinians who were to date subjected to medieval style barbarity without shelter , food and even water.
On the other hand these Gulf states allowed US military bases which in fact were Israeli military bases in their countries despite extreme US-Israeli hostilities towards Arabs in the region and Muslims worldwide.
There were reports that in early 2026, there were significant behind-the-scenes efforts by Saudi Arabia pressing the United States to take military action against Iran, which appeared to contradict the kingdom’s public stance of diplomacy .
Washington Post report of 28 February 2026 titled “Push from Saudis-Israel helped Trump to attack Iran” stated as follows: President Donald Trump launched wide-ranging attack on Iran after weeks -long lobbying effort by Israel and Saudi Arabia . Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made multiple private phone calls to Trump over the past month advocating a U.S. attack, despite his public support for a diplomatic solution.”
Al Quds day
In the midst of ongoing US-Israeli barbarity Iran and Muslims worldwide observed the last Friday of Ramadan as Al Quds day. However there was no such commemorations in Saudi Arabia, the land of Islam , and other Arab countries. They have abandoned Islam and Muslims to please their American and Israeli masters.
No Muslim with an iota of self-respect and dignity would ever associate with a US president who is all out to destroy Islam and Muslims globally. Under such circumstance three rich Arab countries-Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates rolled red carpet to receive Trump during his shameful visit last year. They spent billions to receive Trump while Israel continue to slaughter Palestinians with weapons supplied by Trump.
In Saudi Arabia Trump, treated to an escort of several Saudi F-15 fighter jets upon his arrival, announced $600 billion worth of deals, including $142 billion in arms sales. Qatar gifted to Trump a 400 million dollar luxury plane and agreed to order up to 210 American-made Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777x aircraft in a $96 billion deal. This is the biggest order in history, throwing the embattled US jet maker a much-needed lifeline.
From Riyadh to Abu Dhabi, a race was underway - not to end the genocide in Gaza, but to outspend one another for US favour. Trump’s tour of Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Doha was a theatre - staged in gold, fuelled by greed and underwritten by betrayal. Trillions were pledged; personal gifts were exchanged.
Trump’s offer is blunt: obedience for survival. For regimes still haunted by the Arab Spring, western blessing is their last shield. And they will pay any price: wealth, independence, even dignity. To them, the true threat is not Israel, nor even Iran. It is their own people, restless, yearning and ungovernable. Democracy is danger; self-determination, the ticking bomb. So they make a pact with the devil.
The new order
The new order demands normalisation with Israel, submission to its supremacy, and silence on Palestine. In return, Trump offers impunity: political cover and arms. It is a doctrine of immunity, bought with gold and soaked in Arab blood. They bend. They hand him deals, honours, trillions. They believe submission buys respect. But Trump respects only power - and he makes that clear.
It is not just the US Treasury profiting. Gulf billions do not merely fuel policy; they enrich a family empire. Since returning to office, Trump and his sons have chased deals across the Gulf, cashing in on the loyalty they have cultivated. A hotel in Dubai, a tower in Jeddah, a golf resort in Qatar, crypto ventures in the US, a private club in Washington for Gulf elites - these are not strategic projects, but rather revenue streams for the Trump family.
However US-Israeli illegal and barbaric war on Iran and Iran’s swift response to US military bases in the Gulf have shattered Gulf sheikhs honeymoon with US and Israel. It appears Gulf will never be the same again.
Israel closed down Masjid Al Aqsa during the last ten days of Ramadan. Those Palestinians who conducted Eid prayed outside the mosque were beaten and driven out by Israeli police.
Two billion Muslims worldwide and fifty five Arab and Muslim rulers couldn’t lift a finger to open it. This is the shameful state of affairs in the Muslim world. Under the circumstance all what Muslims worldwide need is a Caliph Omar or Salahuddin Ayoubi who liberated Jerusalem and not Shaikhs, Salmans and Sultans who collaborate with Zionist occupiers of Jerusalem.
