Supreme Court judge quits Golden Key bench

Supreme Court judge Nimal Gamini Amaratunga yesterday recused himself from the bench that is hearing the petition pertaining to the Golden Key depositors.

The judge said that he was not willing to participate in the case as a judge. Accordingly, the case was postponed to March 07 until a new judge is appointed to the bench.

Justices K.Sripavan and S.I. Imam are the other judges on the bench.
