Rs. 1.2 b for Mannar bridge

The Cabinet approved a sum of Rs. 1.2 billion for a Mannar bridge project yesterday. Under the Northern Road Connectivity Project, the Sangupity Bridge will be improved along the A32 road on Navatkulli, Keraitivu, Mannar road. The Cabinet paper was presented by President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Highways Minister and the bid of Rs. 1.2 billion was approved by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee. (UJ)
