National flag remains supreme

The Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that the national flag will remain the symbol of the unity of the people and nothing else. This was in response to a proposal in 19th Amendment to make the President the symbol of unity. The Supreme Court said that the recommendation of the President as symbol of unity (Paragraph 33(1) in Clause 5) “is incorrect and should be deleted.”
