Meelad Un Nabi: Prophet Muhammad’s birthday celebrations

The Board of Trustees of Ummu Zavaya (Al Fassiya Ash Shazuliya Thareeqa ), M.J.M. Lafir Mawatha, Colombo 12 has organised the 112th year ‘Shamail Muhammadiya’ program (1st to 12th days of Rabi Ul Awwal) to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday from 24 December 2014 to 3 January 2015 at 7:30 a.m. onwards at the mosque.

It will be held under the patronage of Colombo Grand Mosque Imam Kaleefathul Kulafa Moulavi J. Abdul Hameed (Bahji). The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Muslim Service will live broadcast the program from 7:40 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. on 4 January and the Thamam day program will live broadcast from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Subhana Mowlood, Bayan and Halara Majlis will also be held, said Al Haj Fawzan Anver, Chairman Religious Committee, Ummu Zavaya. President of the Board of Trustees Deshabandu Al Haj. Macky Hashim and members of the Board of Trustee Ummu Zavaya, Ulamas, students of Ajward al Fassy Arabic College, Kaleefas, Muqaddams, and Iqwans will grace the majlis.
