Karu meets Polls Chief on ballot papers

UNP MP Karu Jayasuriya met Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya yesterday to discuss the recovery of some ballot papers from a drain in Ratnapura soon after the 2010 presidential elections. He claimed that investigations at the time had found that the ballot papers were authentic and had been used at the 2010 presidential elections. On Deshapriya’s invite, Susil Premajayanth represented the Government while MP Sunil Handunnetti represented the JVP.
