Colombo: The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) is to launch a two week island wide awareness campaign commencing Thursday on the issues faced by the country.
JVP sources told ColomboPage that the island wide campaign would take place from 1- 15 September.
The campaign is to include public meetings, distribution of leaflets and protests that would be held at district level under the patronage of JVP leaders.
According to the JVP, party leaders would apprise the people about the economic, social, political, cultural, legal and other issues faced by the country and discuss alternatives that could resolve the crisis.
