Govt. has not made any official statement about LLRC report – Yapa

The Government has not yet made an official statement regarding the recommendations made by the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC), acting Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena stated.

He said that the statements made on the issue by various Ministers are not the official statements made on behalf of the government.

Nevertheless, he said that the government has taken steps to implement the recommendations made in the LLRC report while a process unique to Sri Lanka will be used in the implementation.

He added that this process will not adhere to any schedules or time frames imposed by any foreign parties.
