Galle to get new bus stand and market complex

At a meeting chaired by him at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday to discuss the construction of the Galle Bus Stand and a market complex for pavement hawkers in the city of Galle Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa instructed the officials to speed up and complete the construction of the Galle bus stand and the market complex for pavement hawkers by 25 March.

In addition, the officials were also directed to complete the beach development plan which consists of the construction of a park to attract more tourists to the region. The Economic Development Ministry is to allocate Rs. 50 million for the project.
