Former Nepalese PM meets President Rajapaksa

The former Prime Minister of Nepal Madhav Kumar Nepal met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Thursday afternoon. President Rajapaksa hosted lunch for the Prime Minister of Nepal and the delegation that accompanied him. Senior Minister of Human Resources D.E.W. Gunasekera, Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Douglas Devananda, Minister of Power and Energy Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Western Provincial Council Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga were also present.   The Nepal Prime Minister is expected to visit Jaffna today, 6 July, where he will participate in the Jaffna District celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka to be held at the Co-operative Hall, Jaffna, at 2:30 p.m. Senior Minister for Human Resources D.E.W. Gunasekara and Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri Gajadheera will also participate in the event. Pic by Sudath Silva
