For a new life

Hundred three-wheelers were presented to disabled soldiers yesterday by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Ministry of Defence grounds at Galle Face. Here a blind soldier is being presented with a three-wheeler while Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa looks on.

They were given under a special scheme of concessionary payments without any interest.  The programme has already granted 700 three-wheelers – Pic by Chandana Perera
