Conference of District Secretaries 

The District Secretaries’  conference was held yesterday (24) at Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). Basil Rajapaksa Minister of Economic Development was the chief guest at the conference. Discussions at the conference were focused on matters related to agriculture and irrigation, fertiliser subsidy and lake rehabilitation project.

Minister Basil Rajapaksa pointed out the importance of the District Secretariat’s responsibility for the development process of the Government. During the meeting Minister Basil Rajapaksa discussed with District Secretaries the Divi Naguma and Provincial Road Development Projects implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development. He appreciated the District Secretaries’ contribution to achieve the targets of the Divi Naguma Programme islandwide - Pic by Chaminda Hittatiya
