The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries – CNCI has organised a full day seminar on ‘VAT, NBT and PAYE TAX’ to be conducted on 12 February 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo.
The seminar will be addressed by a team of senior officers of the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) that includes PAYE Special Audit Commissioner T. Karunadasa, Bank and Finance Unit Commissioner R.S. Samaranayake, Secretariat Branch Assistant Commissioner Aboo Backer Nafeel and Tax Payer Service Unit Assistant Commissioner D.G.N. Wimalasena.
The CNCI has identified that many of the companies do have places to get clarified in the above areas such as conditions for registration, possible consequences of non-registrations, limitations imposed, SVAT scenario, applicable salaries for PAYE Tax and computation, exemptions for PAYE, VAT and NBT etc. The participants will have an ample opportunity to get any of their doubts cleared on these topics.
Further to the seminar titles, the participants will also be made aware of any amendments to the taxes that would be proposed by the Interim (Mini) Budget to be presented on 29 January 2015 by the new Government.
The seminar will be beneficial for both finance and non-finance managers, academics and other interested individuals.
