The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Islamabad celebrated Vesak on 4 May at the International Buddhist Centre in Diplomatic Enclave, Isla-mabad with the participation of Ambassadors/High Commissioners, family members of all Buddhist residents and the Sri Lankan community living in Islamabad and the suburbs.
There was a Buddha pooja and chanting of pirith by the devotees. The International Buddhis
t was colourfully decorated and illuminated with Buddhist flags, Vesak lanterns and oil lamps by the staff of the High Commission and their family members.
