He rejected the view that Rajapaksa lost the election as a result of the actions of the BBS and urged the new Government to investigate the Aluthgama and Beruwala incidents through a special commission.
Gnanasara Thero also said that the BBS has begun to receive threats over the telephone, especially from groups operating overseas.
He also congratulated President Maithripala Sirisena and said they would closely monitor his actions and continue their own activities. (Colombo Gazette)
