The UN Refugee Agency yesterday said that as many as 3.2 million people have been forced to flee their homes within Iran since the conflict escalated in late February.
According to preliminary estimates by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the large-scale internal displacement reflects the growing humanitarian impact of the fighting, with many civilians moving away from major urban areas to safer regions.
