The UN Human Rights Council says it will meet on Wednesday for an “urgent debate” on Iran’s attacks on Gulf countries at the request of Bahrain on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Jordan. In connection with the debate, a group of countries will present a draft resolution on “the recent military aggression launched by Iran against Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates …targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives”, the council said in a statement.
