The United Kingdom said yesterday it stands with the people of Sri Lanka in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.
“We are supporting our humanitarian partners to help save lives and deliver shelter, clean water and medicine,” said the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office via a post on X.
The British High Commission in Colombo said the UK will provide $ 890,000 (£ 675,000) of urgent humanitarian support - working with the Red Cross, United Nations Sri Lanka and local partners to deliver emergency supplies and life-saving care.
