Sysco LABS, the Global Innovation Centre (GIC) of Sysco Corporation, has announced its strategic partnership with the 11th Annual Cyber Security Summit 2025. The Summit, a pivotal event for Sri Lanka’s digital future, is scheduled for 18 September at the Cinnamon Grand.

In an era of rapid digital transformation, the need for robust cybersecurity has never been more critical. As Sri Lanka accelerates its digital adoption, the understanding and implementation of strong cybersecurity measures remain a pressing challenge for key sectors. This year’s Summit addresses this head on with its central theme of exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) as both a formidable threat and a powerful defence mechanism in the cyber landscape.

The 11th Annual Cyber Security Summit, organised by the Daily FT and CICRA Campus, will feature a series of engaging sessions designed to foster collaboration and innovation.

The Summit features a diverse agenda designed to address cybersecurity from every angle. The main events on 17 and 18 September include an exclusive CEO’s Forum for top executives to deliberate on “AI as your Greatest Asset and your Newest Vulnerability,” followed by a full-day conference that brings together global and local experts to explore AI, cyber-defence strategies, and policy frameworks. The event will culminate in the popular Night Hack, a dynamic, hands-on challenge where participants test their cybersecurity skills in real-time scenarios.

Sysco LABS Managing Director Thushera Kawdawatta said: “Trust is the new currency of a hyper-connected, AI-driven world, and cybersecurity is how we assure it. As Sri Lanka ascends as a global tech hub, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build a secure-by-design ecosystem that unlocks breakthrough innovation and world-class talent. By partnering with the 11th Annual Cyber Security Summit, we are collaborating with visionary leaders to help shape a resilient digital future, and allows us to share our expertise and contribute to developing a stronger, more resilient cybersecurity ecosystem in the country.”

CICRA Holdings Group Director/CEO Boshan Dayaratne said: “This year’s Summit stands apart from the past 10 editions, as we bring together global experts to tackle the most urgent issues in AI and cybersecurity. On one hand, AI-powered cyber attacks pose a massive global threat. On the other, AI can be harnessed to detect, prevent, and mitigate these attacks. This duality is the central theme of this year’s Summit. We are thrilled to have partners like Sysco LABS, whose extensive experience in securing large-scale digital platforms will provide invaluable practical insights for all attendees.”

The 11th Annual Cyber Security Summit 2025 is set to be a landmark event, fostering collaboration between international and local experts to build actionable strategies against emerging cyber threats.
