Sri Lanka appoints M. Fauser as representative to Palestine

Sri Lanka has appointed M. Fauser as the country’s official representative to the State of Palestine, with a status equivalent to that of an Ambassador, the Foreign Affairs Ministry announced.

The appointment was made by Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, following which a cordial discussion was held between the Minister and Fauser yesterday.

During the meeting, Fauser reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s longstanding friendship with Palestine and expressed his commitment to serving in accordance with the foreign policy principles and official position of the Sri Lankan Government.

Fauser has previously served as Secretary of the Palestine Solidarity Committee of Sri Lanka and has been actively involved in initiatives supporting Palestinian causes.
