The inaugural meeting of the Sri Lanka ITEC Alumni Association was held on 8 October 2026, at the Grand Crystal Ballroom of Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo.
The Association brings together Sri Lankan professionals from the Government, semi-Government and private sectors who have participated in capacity building programs under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) scheme in India.
The Association aims to strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Sri Lanka and India by promoting professional networking, knowledge sharing, capacity development and community initiatives. It also seeks to facilitate collaboration among alumni and support future Sri Lankan participants in ITEC programs.
At the inaugural meeting, an Executive Committee was elected to guide the Association’s activities and future development. The positions include President, Vice Presidents, General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Sectoral Committee Members.
The establishment of the Association marks an important step towards strengthening professional connections among ITEC alumni and further enhancing bilateral goodwill and cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.
