Sri Lanka Army launches job bank for veterans 

A new web portal titled ‘Veterans Job Bank’ was launched by the Sri Lanka Army in a bid to provide employment opportunities to its retired personnel. The web-based job bank was launched by Army Commander Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage on Tuesday at the Army Headquarters.

The new web portal was designed and developed by the Directorate of Information Technology under the guidance of the Sri Lanka Signals Commandant and Sri Lanka Army Chief Signal Officer Major General H.M.L.D. Herath and the Directorate of Information Technology Director Brigadier G.L.S.W. Liyanage. 

The new web portal is registered with 13 island-wide companies which will facilitate job opportunities for retired Army personnel.
