Six-member committee to make recommendations for top State institutions

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a six-member committee comprising professionals to recommend competent personnel for top positions at State institutions, the President’s Media Division, (PMD) said yesterday.

This committee is required to submit its recommendations for leading posts at public enterprises, State institutions, and State-owned commercial enterprises on or before the 18 December this year.

The committee is headed by Sumith Abeysinghe, former Secretary to the Cabinet and a senior public officer with wide experience in the public sector. Other members include Susantha Rathnayake, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, Dian Gomes, Dr. Prasanna Gunasena, and Prof. Jagath Wellawatte.
