Six envoys present credentials to President

Six newly appointed diplomats formally presented their credentials to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday, according to the President’s Office.

The envoys included Independent State of Papua New Guinea High Commissioner Vincent Sumale, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia Abdullahi Mohammed Odowa, and Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Christian Biever, all of whom are resident in New Delhi.

Also presenting credentials were Apostolic Nuncio of the Vatican Monsignor Andrzej Józwowicz, Islamic Republic of Pakistan High Commissioner Nayyar Naseer, and Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Saleh Mubarak Al-Sarawi.

Following the ceremony, the President held discussions with the diplomats. Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath was also present.
