Seven spectators die at Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 mishap

Seven people were killed and 27 others injured when a vehicle rammed into a group of spectators at Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 held at Diyatalawa yesterday.

Fox Hill Super Cross was revived after a lapse of five years by the Sri Lanka Military Academy in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Army Motorsports Committee and Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS). Three of the dead were officiating at the meet.

This year’s meet attracted over 100,000 spectators in addition to invitees and officials.
