Sajith meets outgoing Chinese Ambassador

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Monday met outgoing Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Colombo.

According to the Opposition Leader’s Office, Premadasa thanked Ambassador Qi for his contribution to strengthening diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and China during his tenure.

The discussions focused on maintaining long-term bilateral relations, including cooperation in economic development, investment, trade and development assistance. Both sides also underscored the importance of continued engagement between the two countries.

Premadasa extended his best wishes to Ambassador Qi for his future endeavours and reaffirmed the importance of sustaining a constructive and mutually beneficial partnership between Sri Lanka and China.
