Sajith meets Indian Vice President, discusses trade and economic ties

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa met Indian Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan during the latter’s first bilateral visit to Sri Lanka, with discussions focusing on strengthening economic relations between the two countries.

In a post on ‘X,’ Premadasa said the meeting involved constructive discussions on expanding trade, deepening economic ties, and identifying practical opportunities to benefit both nations.

He described Sri Lanka and India as “true partners” with a shared history, common challenges, and a shared future, and emphasised the need for greater ambition, trust, and cooperation to further strengthen bilateral relations for the benefit of citizens in both countries.
