Former Member of Parliament Sajin Vass Gunawardena was indicted before the Colombo High Court yesterday (16) on corruption-related charges.
The indictments were filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
According to reports, the charges relate to allegations that the Government incurred losses through the leasing of an aircraft for Mihin Lanka outside the prescribed tender procedure.
The case includes four counts connected to the transaction. Gunawardena previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Mihin Lanka, the State-backed budget airline.
